Downloading files that are seen on the net is part of what everyone does online . The  Files can be music, images, application or documents ​ etc

Which vary in sizes.

Downloading large files over the net has a lot to do with data consumption unless your connected to a free WiFi. Downloading failed, error in connection, unable to connect to server etc are  nothing new and part of the error  messages one sees on the net while trying to download something. The annoying part is when you get one of these error messages at the middle of the download because is a waste of time and data.

In this tutorial, I want to show you guild to over-come this with IDM application (internet download manager).

1. It has resume capability. Meaning that if your computer shuts down suddenly or you ran out of data unexpectedly, IDM will resume from where you stopped (simply open the IDM and locate the file and click resume download)

If the resumable is not available from the server your downloading from, you can use options like "refresh downloading link" to obtain the new active link or do it manually by going back to the download page, when the download starts with your browser, stop it and copy the link from your browser download section (depending on the browser your using) and paste it in the  *address section* of the interrupted file you are downloading (to see this right click on the file and click properties)

2. It has pause and play features 

3. SCHEDULER for scheduling  a download time.

4. It has video player section integration.
 This means that once you get to the place where you stream videos online, IDM will pop-up automatically and ask if you want to download the video instead of streaming it. It can also pop-up while trying to download other files automatically depending on the website coding but if it doesn't pop-up automatically you can copy the file download  link and paste it manually..See picture below....

Very useful in downloading videos from YouTube.

Paste the file url (uniform resource locator) in the ADD URL section of the IDM.

5.Downloading with REGISTERED IDM  is times two faster than through the browser.(I will drop the download LINK at the end of the post)

   Unfortunately,IDM is not free but I will teach you how to tweak the registration FREE.

... DOWNLOAD IDM   and install idman606.exe

Now close IDM or terminate it using Windows task manager(preferably)

... OPEN IDM PATCH INSIDE THE DOWNLOADED FILE and locate and run SnDk&p.exe
...Click on  patch server check 

...Click on clear previous registration data

You can click on Generate to generate new Serial. Then copy the serial number with C and close the applcation.

 Go back and run IDM and  click Registration and select Registration

Fill the form with your name or any other thing required there and in the serial number area, paste the copied serial number and click ok or register. That's all,you are DONE!!
